Watermelon margarita

Sweet summertime is what comes to mind while sipping on this pretty pink cocktail.

I made this watermelon margarita a few years ago, and it’s been a summer staple ever since. I love that it packs a big punch (look at that amazing color!), while being so simple to throw together. All you need is watermelon, tequila, and lime (oh and a blender!).

Get juicy with it

  • 2 parts tequila blanco

  • 1/2 part lime juice

  • Fresh watermelon, cut into chunks without rind (you can leave seeds or get a seedless one)

  • Salt for rim

Blend your watermelon until smooth (~3-4 oz juice for one drink). Combine tequila, lime juice, and watermelon in a shaker with ice. Shake it up! Pour over ice into your salt-rimmed glass. Garnish with lime and/or edible flowers. This can easily be batched for a party or barbecue. Best paired with sunshine.

I’ve been loving these beautiful high ball glasses to elevate my drinks, and the glass shaker is the new star on my summer bar cart.

Cheers!
