The best raffia bucket bag for summer
I went on a bag refresh recently as you might have noticed after purchasing my first DeMellier London crossbody.
I used to not think much about bags at all. And truth be told, I mostly rely on my Apple wallet stuck to the back of my phone!
But since I opt for more minimal outfits, I have come to love the subtle luxury of a quality handbag and how it can bring together your whole look. Especially for a fun outing.
I love straw and raffia bags for spring and summer and had been seeing the Lowe bag everywhere. While I was tempted, I already have a beautiful straw market bag that’s pretty similar from Etsy. So instead, I went in search for a more unique style with the same textural elements.
I fell in love with this raffia bucket bag from Sézane. I got the mini farrow. This was my first purchase from them, and I was impressed with the quality.
I love the size - it is not overpowering but also not too small. The mini is 8.3 x 9.4 x 5.7 in and a great price point. It has an open design at the top making it easy to throw things in on the go. And I love the leather detailing, especially the cute tie. You can also customize / personalize the strap. Mine has a small gold heart.
The farrow bag also comes in a bit larger size at 10.2 x 9 x 6.6 in. I however love a functional, smaller sized purse so the mini won for me. A Paris-born brand, they have a beautiful collection of basket bags in various sizes and styles and now have a location in San Francisco.
Honestly, one of my favorite recent purchases! You could style this for many occasions from a casual brunch outfit to vacation at the beach. I’ve already worn mine several times and am looking forward to having it in my closet for years to come.
