Styling a white tee & jeans for winter
The white tee. The simple basic that’s essential to all wardrobes. Honestly, this is what I’m wearing 90% of the time. Pair with a classic jean and sneakers and you have an instant outfit. I love the one’s from Madewell but this Chaser tee is my new favorite. Everlane also makes quality, classic tees.
Since we live in California, I’m able to get use out of my white tee in colder months simply by layering outerwear. But you could also use a white long sleeve tee for any of these looks and add more layers to achieve a bit more warmth.
Classic leather jacket
I have three jackets that I wear on repeat as part of my capsule wardrobe. The first is a classic black leather jacket. Leather jackets are staples in urban environments and can make any look a bit edgier without loosing comfort. Invest in something that’s well made so it will last you for years to come. This one is from Current Air, a California boutique.
Cozy teddy coat
Teddy coats seem to be sticking around and when purchased in a neutral color like tan, black, or white I’m all for the cozy. I wear this one from Z Supply on the regular because it feels great and adds a fun texture to my simple style!
Chic collared coat
Lastly, a long, collared coat will stick with you for most winter looks. This one has a bit of a pattern (which you won’t normally see here), but its still in my neutral palette so can be mixed with what I’m already wearing. It elevates the outfit and looks great with staple accessories.
Hope this inspires you to get back to the basics!
