Spring picks - gardening essentials
Spring has sprung and the new blooms are getting me excited for a season of gardening and simply enjoying life outside again.
While our yard is currently under construction, I’m dreaming of foraging for flowers and planting fresh fruits and veggies. For now, I’ve been bringing spring indoors with fresh arrangements and new house plants, and these items are on my wishlist for the new season. What does spring have in store for you?
Straw market bag - I have a straw bag that’s been great for the market or beach days but I’ve had my eye on a backpack version for ease of carrying and exploring. I love the leather details on the french market version.
Gardening boots - I have gotten so much use from my Hunter rain boots and honestly, they’re great for this kind of thing. But I often want a shorter pair for throw on and go when working in the yard. These Target options are durable and cute!
Gardening tools - I have found that getting quality gardening tools makes the world of difference! I’ve been loving the BareBones line and linked some options from Terrain. I often find quality tools at local nurseries, too. At minimum, you’ll want a planting shovel and solid cutters.
Gardening gloves - A good pair of gloves is essential for working in the yard or even making arrangements. I learned this the hard way working with all the rose bushes we had! But they’re also great for keeping your manicure lasting longer, too. Dig in.
Watering cans - I found this beautiful watering can at Terrain and later saw it was one of Joanna Gaines’ spring picks too! I guess that means I have good taste. :) This one is pretty enough to keep out, and I found some others that are pretty and functional - my favorite combination.
