Hibiscus margarita

This simple, 4 ingredient margarita was inspired by our recent travels to Mexico and comes just in time for Cinco de Mayo!

The color from the hibiscus is amazing and so impressive. It’s on the sweeter side, so adjust the flavor to your liking.

I found several different variations for this. For mine, I used a hibiscus syrup found at my local market, but you can also make one from dried hibiscus flowers or even tea.

Get juicy with it

  • 2 parts tequila blanco

  • 1 part hibiscus syrup (experiment here)

  • 1/2 part triple sec or orange liqueur

  • Fresh lime juice (I used half)

Rim your glass with lime and salt. Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain on the rocks and garnish with lime or edible flowers. Cheers, friends!
