Memorial Day outfit ideas
Memorial Day is fast approaching and to me, it’s the unofficial start to summer. Bring on the BBQs, margs, and sundresses!
For today’s post, I rounded up some effortless styles perfect for the holiday weekend whether your attending a backyard barbecue, pool party, or casual get together. All of these looks can be carried into your summer wardrobe as well.
Little white (eyelet) dress
White eyelet is as summery as it gets! I love the airy vibe of this material for summer and its especially fun in a dress. I found this number at a boutique while visiting Charleston, but I’ve linked some similar finds. These are great for a summer date night, barbecue or vacation!
Striped maxi dress
When it comes to maxi dresses, I’m pretty particular on fit. I feel many of them are too big and billowy and completely hide my shape. I love this one from Z Supply (older) because the neckline and back are flattering, and it hugs my shape without being too tight! Stripes are always great for patriotic occasions as well as beach vacays so I find it a versatile pattern for summertime festivities.
Denim/chambray romper
One of my favorite brands for classic styles is Cloth and Stone, which I typically find at Anthropologie. This chambray romper has been worn on repeat during warm weather from baseball games to pool parties. I love the effortless style! You can dress it up with wedges or down with sneakers and add some fun accessories to complete this look.
White summer top
Here I go again with white tops. But what can I say? They’re foolproof. And with these classic styles you can elevate the look with some simple details like tie straps or cutouts. Pair this cutie with some good old denim shorts and you’ve got yourself the perfect summer outfit for any occasion!
