Halloween styled bar cart
One of my goals is to decorate for Halloween like the Dunphy house on Modern Family. They go all out. Every time.
Since we are working towards our upcoming renovation on the house, I didn’t have the energy to put into crazy Halloween decor, but I did have fun doing a few scenes inside. This bar cart was one of them!
I already had many of the items I used to style the bar cart, but I added a few new pieces to bring the look together. I love adding seasonal items to change things up for a festive occasion.
Going for a spooky-chic vibe, I stuck with whites, blacks, and a few muted colors. We happen to love skulls in our family, so I used that as an anchor for the theme - perfect for Halloween. These skull portraits brought everything together, helping Stan the skeleton feel right at home.
Our stainless steel bar accessories remained central to the cart. The ice bucket and hammered tray are from Williams Sonoma, and the classic bartender tools are some of my favorites from Pottery Barn. I accessorized the top shelf with some dried eucalyptus leaves, a festive pumpkin candy dish, and a small white pumpkin.
The wire spiders added to the theme, along with these black matches.
The second level of our cart does not have much height so I opted for something simple here but just as impactful. For Halloween feels, I used this black gauze from Amazon (I’ve used this in other areas of our house like my Halloween table and our piano, too!). We had the perfect Halloween bottle of wine in our cellar - Poizon from Armida. It came with this amazing coffin packaging and looked right at home with a skeleton hand. I would stock up on this for a Halloween dinner party!
I left our decanter in place and added a few more white pumpkins on the bottom (you can never have too many pumpkins). To finish the look, I placed these skull glasses and this white ceramic skull.
I really love how it all came together - chic but with an edge! How are you decorating for Halloween?
