Hey, y’all!

We recently returned from a trip to Jackson Hole, WY and loved it! The fall foliage, wide open ranges, wildlife…all of it was incredible.

I like to pick up a few local gifts/items from our trips, and my favorite find was this huckleberry vodka. Not only is the bottle unique, but it tastes great too. We actually found this one in Yellowstone, and this recipe was inspired by one of the locals! I love this western take on a classic cocktail. It’s a bit sweeter than the traditional Moscow mule but such a fun flavor to try in your seasonal rotation! And as always, it’s simple to create.

Quick facts

Huckleberries are a wild blue-black berry that grow in mountainous areas. They’re in season late summer through early fall.

Recipe

Pour ~1 shot of huckleberry vodka and the juice of 1/2 a lime in a cocktail shaker or mason jar. Fill with ice and shake until cold. Strain into a copper mug and add ginger beer and ice (I used Fevertree). Garnish with fresh mint and/or lime wedges. Done. Sip. Enjoy. Maybe add a little more vodka.
