Simple spring arrangement with yellow Forsythia
Have you noticed that the farmer's and supermarkets are filled with more colorful blooms lately? It’s one of the first signs of spring and it makes me so happy. I love fresh flowers all the time, but they’re a must in spring!
Even though we are waiting on our new dining table, I’ve been swopping out decor and hunting for the perfect blooms to liven up the space. This arrangement is super simple but has a big impact. Branches and longer stems add so much depth to a room, and the color of the Forsythia is a friendly reminder that spring is around the corner.
I saw these fresh flowering branches at the supermarket and fell in love. The yellow is gorgeous and perfect to bring a little sunshine into our home (and they were only $8 each!!). I also love the height these bring to balance our space. If you’re working with fresh, be sure to give the stems a trim. Line your vase with plastic to protect it (if its ceramic/decorative like mine) and add fresh water. Then simply place and play with the stems to achieve the desired look! You can see how I styled them in my video over on IG!
Tip: Use fresh fruit from your garden to complete your centerpiece/decor! Our Meyer lemons are going crazy and paired perfectly with these blooms.
What I’m loving about these stems is that they’ve lasted for several weeks and are now sprouting new growth! It’s like spring has sprung right before my eyes, and it brings us joy. I hope this inspires you to fill your own home with things you love for a fresh start to the season. Below are some faux options so you can keep the look all season long.
