Notes from Todos Santos, Mexico
We recently returned from our baby moon outside of Cabo, Mexico. With everything going on at the house, it was a much needed get away! It was nice to have some time together before we welcome the little one and I’m so grateful we were able to make it happen.
We stayed north of Cabo at a beautiful small resort recommended by some friends. The closest town is a little surf spot called Todos Santos. After a bumpy ride down a dirt road you can find yourself in a little secluded oceanside paradise at Villa Santa Cruz.
We honestly did not do a whole lot (being 6 months pregnant is a bit limiting!) but it was exactly what we needed (or at least I did!). We read, hung by the pool, walked on the beach ocean, did oceanside yoga, ate delicious food and simply relaxed. We did explore the town a bit and that was a nice change of pace as I always love exploring the local scene. The town has many artisans, boutiques, surf shops and restaurants/coffee spots. One of my favorite things we stumbled across was an art installation where you could hang a wish for someone on a tree. We left a sentiment for Baby. ♥
We loved our stay and really didn’t need to venture too much which was nice. The resort has a substantial garden where they grow much of their own food and garnishes/flowers. I love this approach and everything was super fresh. We had coffee delivered to our room each morning, waking up listening to the waves… lazy afternoons by the water. It was such lovely escape.
A few recommendations based off our time there:
Dinner at the Green Room. Fun, local spot right on the sand. I was happy with the virgin passionfruit margaritas!
Lunch or dinner at Osteria. This is in the town of Todos Santos. We did not eat here but it came recommended and we just went to check out the vibe - and it is a vibe! Lush cafe space with boutiques and seafood fare.
Breakfast at the Moon Friendly Kitchen. I found this on my own for a gluten free option. It was such a cute spot! Delicious gluten, vegan friendly options and teas/coffees. Seriously, one of the best GF waffles I’ve had.
You cannot beat the sunsets around here! Beachside is by far the best way to view. Here are a few of my favorite snaps from the trip and I’ll link what I can for outfits/swim (thank god for one-size fits swimwear!).
