Gift guide for the host(ess)
It’s hard to believe the holidays are here. It’s the season for gathering and giving, and I love that this time of year brings people together.
As you’re gearing up for the Christmas rush, I thought I’d put together a few ideas for host/hostess gifts to bring to your upcoming parties. Maybe it’s a southern thing, but a small gesture goes a long way to show your host your appreciation for all the hard work they’ve put into planning and putting on their event! And yes, even hosting family is an event.
Here are some of my favorite items (you can find similar items at all price points).
Candles
I always have candles and I think they make for great gifts, especially festive scents like this fir from Target!
Cutting boards
These are so cute and perfect for the holiday! Hostesses know you can never have too many boards.
Vase
Small vases make for a perfect housewarming/host gift for small buds or stems.
Herbs / fresh plants
You can’t go wrong with a plant or fresh flowers, but I found this rosemary topiary that would make the perfect hostess gift from Terrain! Herbs are wonderful to have on hand this one is beautiful too.
Gourmet oil
Truffle oil is more unique than olive oil. There are tons of brands, so try shopping local for this item. We get oils from one of our favorite wineries in Sonoma, BR Cohn.
Wine accessories
Holiday wine toppers have always been a thing, but they’ve gotten super fun over the years! I always like to shop for the latest wine accessories and these make for festive, holiday gifts.
