Fall persimmon recipes
Our persimmon tree is SO happy right now. Ever since we cut back a few of the taller trees, the others have really grown with new light. I love having fruit in our backyard, but I’m still a novice gardener. It’s something I want to dive more into (and speaking of, I have new veg beds to plant!).
Since the persimmon tree is so abundant right now, I’ve been thinking of ways to experiment with them this fall. There are several types, ours being the Fuyu variety.
Last year I made these delicious appetizers, but I’d like to get a little more bold! And now’s the perfect time since we may be hosting Thanksgiving.
Some of my favorite ideas for using persimmons whether this season or in the future…
Jam - This would make for a cute holiday hostess gift.
Tart - I’ve been eyeing tart recipes to try this season, and this one looks so pretty and simple.
Cake - Saw this beautiful upside down cake and fell in love!
Salad - I tried using my persimmons in salads last year and loved it. This recipe looks so festive along with this one to try.
Tabletop - I love the idea of using persimmons in our tablescape. I’ve incorporated many elements from our garden like roses and lemons. It gives an effortless, organic and seasonal vibe. I love the simplicity and elegance of this one.
Cocktail - Of course we know I love a themed drink! But I also like them simple and easy. This one looks fresh and perfectly paired for fall.
