Clemson themed cocktail - “Spiller Spritz”

Tailgate season is well underway and what better way to celebrate than with a little team “spirit?!”

This blood orange Aperol drink will give you that Clemson orange glow and is named after CJ Spiller, who was recently inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

It’s fun, refreshing, and simple!

Aperol – I have been obsessed with Aperol since we visited Italy a few years ago. It’s an orange liqueur with a bitter but delicious citrus taste.

Prosecco – Italy again for the win with their version of champagne. I used Raffino but any will do!

Fresh Blood oranges - Blood orange really does make a difference here in both taste and color. Keep extra slices for garnish in the glass.

Blood orange soda - If you like more bubbles (obviously I do!) and to balance the flavor, try adding some blood orange soda as well. Sanpellegrino makes one. Just a splash will do the trick!

Garnish - Orange rind or fresh rosemary/mint gives you that sophisticated touch.
