Bachelorette weekend recap in Charleston, SC
I recently returned from my bachelorette in Charleston, SC. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen a few stories sharing the festivities. I had the best time celebrating with a wonderful group of friends. I chose Charleston as the destination because I wanted a fun city that would have great food, access to the beach, and beautiful scenery. Since I grew up in SC, many of my friends still live in the southeast so it was a relatively easy meeting point for most. I flew in Thursday afternoon to meet a few friends who were there early, but the bachelorette weekend officially kicked off on Friday.
On Friday, everyone had arrived by the mid-morning, so we headed over to Sullivan’s Island to grab lunch and the infamous frose at Co-op. I had never been, but the food and drinks did not disappoint! It’s got the perfect vibe for a bachelorette party with fun pink accents and a casual atmosphere. After Co-op, we headed over to the beach to soak up some sun and enjoy the ocean for the afternoon. It was a bit windy, but the water was warm (much nicer than the Pacific!) and I loved catching up with all my girls. My sweet friend even made us coordinating cups so our drinks stayed chilled. My white bikini is from Lulus and had the cutest ruffle detailing!

For dinner that night, we ended up at Eleve, a rooftop restaurant and bar downtown. The service was great and the appetizers and drinks stole the show (highly recommend the truffle fries!). The rooftop made for gorgeous photos during golden hour overlooking the city. This dress was a last minute Amazon find and was my favorite piece! It’s so flattering and comfortable, and it comes in a few other colors but the white is perfect for summer! Plus its under $30.

On Saturday, we had access to the pool at the Little Palm. While the restaurant was adorable with a pink and green palm print, the pool itself was rather small. We didn’t know what to expect, but it was difficult getting chairs and shade for our group of 8. Thankfully, there was another bachelorette party that was leaving and offered up their spot shortly after we arrived! The bar here was fully worth it, though. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable and made amazing drinks both from scratch and off the menu. I was impressed! There was also a DJ in the afternoon to help get the party started.

After the pool party, my friends showered me with some lovely gifts! We then got dressed up to go to another dinner downtown at the Rarebit. This was a recommended restaurant, and we were able to get our group in without reservations. Unfortunately, many places are still feeling the affects of covid and this one did not have the best food or service. It did however have great drinks, and apparently they’re known for one of my faves - the Moscow mule. They offer seasonal ones, too which I love! The most important thing to me was spending time with my girls so mission accomplished. For after dinner drinks, we headed to the Cocktail Club. It was a bit crowded inside but they have a small outdoor space, too. There were other bachelorette parties (apparently Charleston has become quite the destination!) and even though it was hot and muggy, our delicious drinks kept us cool!

Sunday was a travel day for most, and I scheduled my flight later in the afternoon so I could soak up the last bit of celebrations. We had a delicious brunch at Park and Grove. I love seasonal food and drinks, as you know, and this place hit the spot for both as well as had the cutest decor and atmosphere. From there a few of us did a little shopping on King Street and then said our final goodbyes.
It was so wonderful to catch up with my best friends and celebrate before the big day. I had the greatest time, and felt so loved, and I owe it all to these fabulous gals!
