Setting a spring table
Now that’s April, it seems the celebrations are picking up for spring. Easter is just a week away and Mother’s Day will shortly follow. I’m all for throwing a party just to celebrate the longer days and more sun!
With that in mind, I’ve created 3 simple spring-inspired tablescape ideas to keep you hosting all season long. These ideas are versatile and inexpensive as you can recreate with what you have on hand.
Garden Party
I picked up these beautiful floral napkins a few months ago waiting for the perfect occasion! I think these would be perfect for an outdoor brunch, girls or Mothers' Day gathering. Simply fold the napkin into a rectangular shape and layer underneath your salad/dessert plate. Add small buds to each plate and place a name card for added personalization. I clipped flower buds from my garden for an organic, varied feel but you could pick up small blooms at the grocery or Trader Joes. If you want a more farm-inspired look, try using heirloom veggies like carrots (with stems) and beets for natural texture.
Bunny Ears
I’ve seen tons of bunny and Easter variations for table decor and while cute, I don’t like to spend money or store too many holiday-specific items (Christmas and Halloween are my two exceptions!). I knew I could recreate this look so I picked up some grapevine twine at Hobby Lobby to create these cute bunny ear napkin rings. Simply slide over a loosely pulled napkin and you’ll instantly have a festive Easter setting!
Lemon Drop
Y’all know I love my lemons and since we’re in full supply, I knew I could put these to use for a fun idea. I picked up a few sheets of green cardstock at the craft store to cut the leaf tags and pinned them directly into the lemon. For easier standing, make sure to use smaller sized fruit. The pearl pins add an elegant touch, but you could get creative here too! I love how the yellow pops against a simple white napkin as well as pairs for a summery vibe with my favorite tie patterned napkins from Crate & Barrel. This look is perfect for a bridal shower, outdoor gathering taking you from spring to summer for all your upcoming celebrations!

Melanine outdoor plates - I love to host and its in my blood having grown up in the south. I bought these outdoor plates since we often throw BBQs in the backyard. They’re a step above paper plates, dishwasher safe and look just as nice as my normal dishes. Highly recommend!
Linen napkins - A classic linen napkin set is great to have on hand for special occasions. I love this suit set from Crate & Barrel because it fits my neutral palette and looks great for spring and summer. They are easy to care for and have held up nicely.
Woven placemats - While I didn’t show mine above, a simple woven placemat goes a long way to pull your table together. Again, I think its best to keep them neutral so you can add in your own flair with either a special dessert plate or fun place setting. The focus should be on the details, but the charger adds texture and warmth to complete the look.
Festive servingwear - Of course, if you’re really into Easter then go all out! I like to have fun serving platters or smaller plates as holiday accents. Shared a few finds above if you’re in the market.
I love sharing these attainable ideas to help elevate the everyday. Wishing you a colorful spring season!
