A little spring cleaning…and some shopping, too

We had a beautiful weekend over President’s Day, a little spring tease! So we headed to the coast to soak up some sun and good eats, and it got me into the spring mood.

There are always lots of sales around this time…and I have been on the hunt for a few things with the new season coming and upcoming trips. But I’ve been making a shopping wish list to refer to so that I can be more mindful with purchases. It’s still a work in progress!

With new items coming in, I almost always donate something in return. Spring cleaning of late means lots of purging at our house. It’s hard to organize exactly how I want with the house under construction, so I’m often editing things down (sometimes ruthlessly!) to avoid the clutter as much as possible. I love purging anytime, but I definitely get into the habit with a new season since that likely means pulling out old clothes and purchasing new items.

I find time and again that I’m grabbing for my classics - whites, denim, black, tan. And if the items are of quality (which lately I am leaning even more into), then I can likely rewear them for seasons to come.
